We are so blessed and thankful to those who have given.

We heard this week that some of the people in Nicaragua are eating bark from trees because they have no food - this is hard to think about.  One of the things we will be doing in Nicaragua this time is visiting feeding stations and seeing how we can help feed more people.

Going again....

We are so excited to be going back to Nicaragua.  Our mom is helping us with this blog again, so that you can follow our journey to get there and our trip once we are there.

We will be there from June 26th to July 3rd.

We are raising funds to go, if you have any jobs you would like us to do let us know.  If you would like to give a few dollars to help us buy our tickets you can use the chipin on the side, give a check to my dad, or a check to COTN if you would like a tax deduction.  We appreciate your help so much, but mostly appreciate your support and prayers.

We have been cutting grass, doing extra jobs, and saving money.

We are going to use some of the money raised to buy things to take that the kids need, like socks, underwear, art supplies, if we have extra money we will take it to Nicaragua to be used to help the kids.

Some of the things we will be doing, will be dedicating the new house that we helped build when we were there last year, helping at the feeding stations, and most importantly spending time with the little kids, and friends we made last time. We can't wait to see how they are doing.

Here are a few pictures of our trip last year

They are there - day 1 in Nicaragua

Packed and ready to go

They left Wednesday at 7:00am (they were up at 4am).

They had a great flight and were in Managua, Nicaragua by 12N (2pm here). They skyped me that evening, everyone was great just a little tied.

Today they spent the day in Managua (the capital of Nicaragua) and will leave for Somoto tomorrow.

They just skyped me to tell me about all their adventures.

This morning hey met with an organization that feeds 13,000 Nicaraguans a day. They work a lot with people that live on and around the Managua dump -VERY poor. He took the team to the dump, and to see the feeding project. They played with some of the kids, and visited in some of the make shift houses (huts). Chris said the boys were shocked by what they saw, and were processing the fact that people live this way.

During the afternoon they had a little fun and went to climb a volcano.

Chris says the boys are doing fantastic, jumping right in and doing what ever is needed - no complaining.

I am SO proud of them.

They are taking pictures and we will post them when they get back. I don't know what internet access they will have in Somoto - so not sure if I will get many updates.

***************************************************************************

The trip was COMPLETELY funded, plus we had money to take and donate there. We can not thank everyone enough for supporting this trip, we feel very blessed - and thank God for His provision.
